Explanatory notation about the tests
Air
permeability test:
This
test is carried out according to the convention UNE-EN-1026:2000 and
the convention UNE-EN 12207-2000. A permeable window is a closed one,
which does not let enter the air when it is subjected to pressure.
All our systems are highly airtight, and for the most part of them, are classified at the maximum of the convention.
Waterproofness
test:
This
test is carried out according to convention UNE-EN 1027:2000,
spraying the windows. It classifies them according to the convention
UNE-EN12208:2000. The window waterproofness is its capacity to set
against water seepages.
The test
specify the rank of the window subjecting it to a given water
pressure.
It is
important to understand that the maximum classification do not refer
to a totally waterproofness because it is impossible. But it refers
to acceptable waterproofness parameters when subjected to pressure
and flow established by the convention.
All our systems are highly waterproof, and are classified at the maximum level of the convention.
Thermal test:
This test is carried out according to the convention UNE-EN ISO 12567-1: 2002. Determination of the thermal transmission with the warm box method.
With this method we get the thermal transmission of the entire window (glass and aluminium) for a given size.
Given the climatic characteristics of the Canary Islands, the impositions of the CTE are carried out, for most of them, with aluminium systems without break of the thermal barrier even with simple glass of kind (6-4-6).
Acoustic isolation to the aerial noise:
This test is carried out according to the convention 140-3: 1995. It is the measuring of acoustic isolation of the elements of the system, to the aerial noise.
With this method, we get the value of acoustic isolation to aerial noise of the entire window (glass and aluminium) for a given size.
The value to reach, which is given according to the variables formulated in the basic document HR of the CTE, is got from this document for every concrete case.
